This series introduces uart_port_tx() + uart_port_tx_limited() TX helpers. See PATCH 1/3 for the details. The preparatory cleanups were already merged, so only the helpers above and the switch: first, to uart_port_tx() in 2/3 and then uart_port_tx_limited() in 3/3. I know it's pre-rc1 time now. But there is no rush. Maybe non-maintainers can take time to review now ;).
