9 bits serial communication

Hello.

I've to use 9 bits in serial communication and due an high communication frame rate I cannot use the parity mark/space trick to do the job.

Linux doesn't support the CS9 setting and I'd like to know from you if you have any advice for me in order to add this feature. You perfectly know the TTY layer and maybe you can suggest to me the right-thing(TM) to do to address the problem. :-)
