I just wanted to inform you about the issue, that's all. I will point it out to the developers of Grub and Syslinux, too, and maybe also to Supermicro.

Also, might this just be a broken BIOS?  Have you talked to the vendor
about this, they should be able to fix this quite easily.  Odds are they
never even noticed...
