Hi Rob,
I'm trying to boot my Rockchip RK3368 platform with linux-next,
20160909, and find the console is broken. After doing bisect and
reverting your commit 761ed4a94582 ("tty: serial_core: convert
uart_close to use tty_port_close"), it seems to work again.
I don't have too much knowledge about tty, so I think I could help you
test if you have any idea.
The uart I am using now is compatible of "rockchip, rk3368-uart",
"snps,dw-apb-uart".
