So it sounds like they're just tweaking the ID so it will be identified by their driver or megaraid driver instead of ours. It's Intel SR1550 server. Anyway I found a option in normal BIOS to disable "intel swraid" and now it is detected nicely by mptsas without any new_id tweaks (becomes visible under pciid already known to mptsas).
