Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel. As sent in a parallel mail, I've found out that 2.6.23-rc2 works and 2.6.23-rc3 shows the same problems - so the problem has to be searched in the dpt_i2o-changes made for 2.6.23-rc3.
