One of them originally had the RAID mode firmware installed, and I loaded the IT mode firmware onto it instead. The previous logs were with the card that came with the old [but IT-mode] firmware. This log is with the phase16 firmware, built in 2020July. At least from a non-SME's POV, the same error occurs. Further of note, you had said that this bug is not caused by the memset, and with the patch applied... Should I read that as "with the memset applied, the correct command is being sent, but the card's firmware is timing out" or "with the memset *not* applied, the correct command is being sent"?
