RT kernel for Debian or maybe in mainline?

Hi,

There is an discussion on the Debian-developer mailinglist about including a RT kernel in Debian. Which would be great imo. Maybe it would even be better if the default kernels supports realtime. And isn't that an goal of developers of the RT patches, that it will hit mainline?

So my question is whether some RT patches developers or other people who knows a lot about this topic, are will to contribute in building a RT kernel for Debian or if they see possibilities in improving the default Debian kernel for RT.

Maybe it's a good time to work on that and maybe an RT kernel of RT possibilities in the default Debian kernel will help the goals of the RT kernel team!?

Maybe some people can join the discussion on the Debian developers list?

Here are two discussion about it:

http://www.linux-archive.org/debian-development/268999-realtime-kernel-debian.html

Thanks in advance,
