Guy's solution was a very generic and relied on driver/HW. It makes it fast.
I was aiming for "libibverbs statistics" that is generic in the sense that libibverbs
will collect the statistics and won't involve the driver/HW. This can supply
information via, e.g., ibv_devinfo, regardless of the driver/HW vendor type, capability
or support. I was thinking of adding something like this in 'qedr' but I'm not sure how not to hurt 
performance and thought maybe all can benefit from it.

I wasn't familiar with this and will check it out. However, it generates data only if pre-loaded
and won't be able to supply debug information after, e.g., a bug. It is good for development
and less for a user.

This is something that is handled in the kernel i.e. different.
