Actually SFI spec leverages some table definition of the ACPI standard, the SFI code
will reuse some existing ACPI code just to keep the kernel tree simple, that's why Len Brown is moving some generic code out of ACPI driver. 
SFI code should work separately with CONFIG_ACPI=n, so I think CONFIG_SFI is a
fair name.
