external PCI parallel ports

Hi,

As server manufacturers start removing parallel ports from servers, the
need for linux compatible PCI parallel ports arises.

What external PCI devices are known to work well on Linux?

I've searched the web before posting the question here, but only found
very outdated pages such as:

http://people.redhat.com/twaugh/parport/cards.html

Besides that, I didn't find any parport-linux mailing list here:

http://vger.kernel.org/vger-lists.html

Is it possible to advise us on this matter or pointing us to the right
place to ask?

Best regards
Gustavo Homem
