These aren't TI specific, and there are already IIO bindings documented for consumers at Documentation/devicetree/bindings/iio/iio-bindings.txt. They have caused some issues in the past due to binding to devices that are linux specific convenience functions. I fear that is sort of the case here with your thermal binding, but we can see what response we get.
