I recompiled the kernel with the original settings and made sure that the USB HDC are on. Then I did the echo F command:

[root@OMAP3EVM /]#echo F > /proc/driver/musb_hdrc
musb_stage0_irq 459: <== Power=f0, DevCtl=80, bIntrUSB=0x80
musb_stage0_irq 593: OTG STATE: B_idle
musb_stage0_irq 595: OTG STATE: A_idle
musb_stage0_irq 636: VBUS_ERROR in b_idle (80, <SessEnd), retry #3, port1 00080108
omap_set_vbus 97: VBUS b_idle, devctl 80

The code mentionned that non-repeating VBUS_ERROR could be ignored thus, afterward, I did these tests with the mini-AB:

USB mouse: no power.
USB hub: no power.
Self-powered USB hub: no detection
Self-powered DVD reader: no detection

Again, please let me know what else is missing.

Robert

The option changed some time back and now it is:
echo F > /proc/driver/musb_hdrc
