Surely it is 'aswell' rather than 'instead' ??
I need 
   invalid |= NFS_INO_INVALID_DATA;
to flush the readdir cache, and
   nfs_force_lookup_revalidate(inode)
to flush the lookup cache 
??

I'll respin the patches later today.
