What other hardware is in the way (middleboxes firewalls, routers, ...)
Also, what kind of network card.
--------------
e1000: eth0: Intel Pro/1000
that's not very specific, there's about 35 different types of those ;)
see http://e1000.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page#Troubleshooting
for a list of things we usually ask for when debugging issues. As udp/icmp works
fine, there might be just more than the e1000 driver having issues here.
The path goes like:
FC5 -> router -> firewall -> INET -> router -> firewall > FC5
Additional info:
- UDP & ICMP bandwidth is fine, only TCP is slow.
- Other non-FC5 clients are fine as well (i.e. TCP xfers are not slow)
- We are not tunneled over VPN
maybe the extra information helps us recognize an already known problem?
Cheers,
Auke
