e1000: eth0: Intel Pro/1000

that's not very specific, there's about 35 different types of those ;)

for a list of things we usually ask for when debugging issues. As udp/icmp works fine, there might be just more than the e1000 driver having issues here.

The path goes like: FC5 -> router -> firewall -> INET -> router -> firewall > FC5

Additional info:
- UDP & ICMP bandwidth is fine, only TCP is slow.
- Other non-FC5 clients are fine as well (i.e. TCP xfers are not slow)
- We are not tunneled over VPN

maybe the extra information helps us recognize an already known problem?
