I assume this rejection would only kickin for the case where the packet was locally generated (as opposed to forwarded from some other interface) and the application causing the packet to be transmitted had explicitly bound to one of its interfaces' source IP addresses. For forwarded traffic the source IP would have to be ignored and likewise for locally generated traffic for which no specific source IP address had been bound. Correct?
