I'm trying to diagnose a problem with transmission timeouts on the 580TX and don't seem to be getting much from the net-drivers list @ scyld so though I would try here :)
The original email with some diagnostic output can be found at http://www.scyld.com/pipermail/netdrivers/2004-December/000122.html, and I'm guessing that somehow the on-board chip is being programmed incorrectly :(. The card I have here is a revision A3 which contains the following chips: an Intel 21152 (4-1 PCI multiplexer) and 4 DL10050C NIC controllers.
Never had timeout probs with the two DECchip 21142/43 (rev 41) based D-Link cards I had running for some four years at a customer.
I used the tulip driver on RH 7.2, 2.4 kernel series.
I know it's a different chipset, just dunno how much it differs.
