Hello ! I have a system with 256 MB RAM and am running Linux-2.4.19 on it. I am running netperf with sendfile on two Gbe cards: Broadcom 5701 using the tg3 driver and Intel 82544/82546. When running on the Intel card, no transmit takes place at all. However, when running with the Broadcom NIC, zerocopy takes place fine along with scatter gather. When running netperf without sendfile, things are ok with both the cards. The Intel NIC has not shown this problem when running with higher amounts of memory. I have tried with 1 GB and it works fine. So, I am assuming that this problem is related to low memory. The file that I am trying to send with sendfile() varies from 32KB - 128KB in size. Any ideas what could be wrong?
