I agree.  If we can depend upon the u_int* types being there
during both kernel and non-kernel builds, I guess I could be
swayed in this direction :-)

But, there is the corollary, why _not_ use these types?
Nobody is going to remove the __{u,s}* types from linux/types.h
any time soon.

Finally, if we make policy decision, let's do it tree wide :)
