   It's only a workaround -- hopefully the driver gets fixed one of
   these days :-(

I'll note in passing that one reason I'd like to see ipv6 used
more is that it's going to force more testing of multicast support
in all of the drivers.

Multicast tends to get tested poorly or not at all currently.
