But unfortunately it doesn't help a lot. I see a lot of packet 
drops/errors/overruns at the network card level (ifconfig reports so). No 
such issues with tg3 though. The e1000 cards use plenty of %system time, I 
guess they starve the CPUs, OTOH the CPUs aren't that busy while using tg3 
cards.

I even tried with RxDescriptors 2048 and 4096 with same results.
