Hi, What is the reason we don't allow ifconfig to turn off IFF_BROADCAST? The man page for ifconfig says: [-]broadcast [addr] If the address argument is given, set the protocol broadcast address for this interface. Otherwise, set (or clear) the IFF_BROADCAST flag for the interface. If I don't want broadcasts to appear on a certain ethernet interface, what is the best way of achieving this? -- Russell King (rmk@arm.linux.org.uk) The developer of ARM Linux http://www.arm.linux.org.uk/personal/aboutme.html - : send the line "unsubscribe linux-net" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org
