Config. of 3Com drivers

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

hi, everyone!

I'm using 3Com 3C905B cards on my linux box. I currently use the
classical "Vortex" drivers, which support 3C900 and 3C905. I have built
them into the kernel

can anybody help me to set the media type and full-duplex options
(remember, it's a built-in driver, not a module)?

BTW, the 3Com webpage recommends me to use a driver that's posted in
their page. This means patching and rebuilding the kernel, which want to
avoid if possible (I've already have a patched kernel and wouldn't like
to touch a thing). Are there any good reasons why I should do so? for
the moment, I am using the Vortex driver fine.

thanks in advance,

Mariano Korman
