how to setup a ISDN connection?

Hi,

I am configurating a ISDN connection to Internet.
I use a ISDN adapter and a Linux box with Redhat6.0.
In X window, I use control panel to do this work

    1. assign Com2 i.e. /dev/ttyS1 to modem connection
    2. add a new ppp dialup
and fill in all parameters provided by ISP such as
        user, password, etc.
    3. active it,
    4. reboot

Then, the boot process shows ppp0 works OK,
but when I typed ifconfig, ppp0 is not there

Then I added another slip connection, active it, and reboot the machine.
boot process shows sl0 also works OK, but it is as same as ppp0 not to work

Could anybody give me some advice?

Thanx in advance

Charles Xing
