heh... I have almost the same setup and results.  RH 7.0, 2.4.2 Kernel.

Don't know if it is
related or not, but are you by chance running bind on the same box?  And
if so, did you notice named crashing after bringing up an interface with
an ipv6 addy?  (I can't for the life of me figure out
why.. hrm).  Actually, is there even a list specificaly targeted at Linux
and ipv6?
