Hi, If both your adapters are Intel 8255x adapters, I suggest you look here - http://support.intel.com/support/network/adapter/ans/linux/linansoverview.ht m You get automatic fault detection and failover from the designated primary adapter to the backup adapter. When link is restored, traffic will return to the first adapter automatically. You also get adaptive load balancing and support for EtherChannel link aggregation for the same price (which is zero ;-). Newer versions will support multi vendor teaming too.
