Does ipfm support FDDI frame sizes up to 4491 bytes? Try using the ethernet emulation mode.
The drivers sk_buff setup generally works -); I assume we would see many other side effects and oopses caused by a bad buffer setup.
BTW, we will publish the driver source code under the GPL for 2.4.
