No no no. That is a ZONE lookup you are asking for. It won't resolve to a name. Try: nslookup -q=ns 1.168.192.in-addr.arpa If the zone is valid, you'll get a valid response about the nameserver for the domain. If you can look up an IP address IN that zone, then you know it is working, eg: nslookup 192.168.1.1 Cheers Tony -=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=- Tony Nugent <Tony@growzone.com.au> Systems Administrator, RHCE GrowZone OnLine - regional internet services for Southern Qld POBox 475 Toowoomba Oueensland Australia 4350 Ph: 07 4637 8322 -=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=-=*#*=- - : send the line "unsubscribe linux-net" in the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org
