Hi everyone, I have problems setting up my NFS server. I have a non-stock 2.2.14 kernel. I've patched it up with diffserv and recompiled it a few times, changing some options. I try to set up nfsd. So far, I've been unsing the kernel NFS daemon (knfsd). Everything seems to work fine, but when I try to import a filesystem from the server, I get the following error at the client: mount: <servername>:/usr/src failed, reason given by server: Permission denied I check at the server with exporfs, and the entry is exported correctly. I browse through the logs at the server and found the following messages: <date, time and hostname> mountd[537]: authenticated mount request from <client_name>:786 <date, time and hostname> getfh failed: Operation not permitted When there directory is not exported correctly, I get a totally different error, so the problem is not in the export file. I'm afraid the problem is in the kernel itself. BTW, I don't know how or why, but a week ago my setup worked. Any advice?
