Can't comment about the VPN setup. On the ppp-client side the SIOCADDRT
message may result from a simple modem/isdn-t/a problem, IIRC.
Have had those myself, but forgot to document at that time; think it was
something with ppp-lock files or a hanging ppp-script...
A 'ps ax |grep ppp' doesn't show a hanging ppp, no?
