SQUID question?

Hello,
when I go to a ftp server over proxy (Squid/2.4.DEVEL4) I don't get any
icons.
What could be wrong. And this is a  error message:
ERROR

The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to process the request:

     Illegal character in hostname; underscores are not allowed
