hi,
i recently installed qmail and am wondering what exactly to do with
rcpthosts file. if a domain is not listed in that file i cannot send mali
to it? but then, wouldnt rcpthosts file have to contain every domain on
the internet? i am very confused on this one here...
right now, my domain name is listed in the rcpthosts, and that what the
manual says - put your machine name into rcpthosts. but in this case i can
send mail only to myself. and if i remove rcpthosts all together, my
machine becomes an open relay, something i definetly dont want.
so to summarize all this mess: i would like my qmail to accept any mail
coming from my machine, deny relaying from anywhere else, and send the
mail to any host on the internet. i was digging through installation
manual of qmail for 2 days now, and got so confused, that this mailing
list is my only hope

thanks a lot

max
