But as far as I'm aware, I need to use HIMEM.SYS to be able to run Windows. Also this used to work fine before. I'll see if I can find out in which revision it regressed.

I just did some regression testing.
The first regression (the HIMEM.SYS error message):
last revision without: 1928
first revision with: 1929

The second regression (Dosemu crashing when double clicking on the top left menu button in Program Manager):
last revision without: 1962
first revision with: 1963

Note, to test for the last regression I had to add /TESTMEM:OFF to get HIMEM.SYS to load.
