It would be really great if DOSEMU could use ALSA for sound and midi

Another project that has implemented this is DOSBox
(http://www.dosbox.com/).
Apart from that I like DOSEMU very much and it's also much faster than
DOSBox!
But it's a pity I can't hear the great midi tunes from Settlers 2 ...
Hi Edgar,
I simply create this symlink to a legitimate ALSA device (a virtual MIDI
port in this case) :
$HOME/.dosemu/run/dosemu-midi
The link is to /dev/snd/midiC2D0 (because the virtual MIDI device is the
third sound device in my system) and it works beautifully for working
with my favorite MIDI sequencer for DOS (Sequencer Plus Gold). Let me
know if you need more clarification how this works.
Best,
Dave Phillips
