You should ask putty team/users about this.

What can I propose you is to try:

1. cygwin (install openssh and use it instead of putty)
2. install X11 serwer for windows (not this one from cygwin [it should be good 
too but worse than standalone to manage]) and use xdosemu

both above should work.
