It's highly unlikely that you don't have that folder.  Please send the output 
of "ls /usr/lib/X11/fonts/" (type it in exactly, without the quotes, at a 
console), including any error message.  Mine shows:

$ ls /usr/lib/X11/fonts/
100dpi  75dpi  CID  encodings  local  misc  OTF  TTF  Type1  util

Also, please reply to the list linux-msdos@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
