To be clear, windows uses the mmc controller and doesn't disable it. Also carefully see what kernel you boot in when you doing the resume from disk. It is possible to use one kernel to resume another. But if resuming kernel has CONFIG_MMC_RICOH_MMC, the results won't be pretty (resumed kernel won't know that mmc controller is disabled.)
