It is, I've only reverted it as the second commit wouldn't revert cleanly 
otherwise.

I was hoping that we could take this failure as a strong hint that it was 
wrong to rush code at the last moment, and start designing things properly, 
but I might have been too naive :-/

On that subject, I see that G_TOPOLOGY has been uncommented in v4.6-rc1. 
That's too soon as was clearly shown by the unfinished connectors discussion. 
Do you plan to fix that for v4.6 ?
