Oops when unplugging Hauppauge WinTV MiniStick USB DVB-T device

hi,
This thing (2040:c000) works until I unplug it, whereupon (3.4.0 kernel from Ubuntu kernel team, 3.2
kernel is much the same; a 3.5 snapshot failed to recognise the device):
