I agree with all the above, but keep in mind the above type is already
part of the uAPI (the so-called FIXED format) and I cannot change it
without changing the associated V4L2_META_FMT_RK_ISP1_PARAMS pixel format.

This can't happen with the existing fixed V4L2_META_FMT_RK_ISP1_PARAMS
format. If the uAPI types change, a new pixel format would be
needed. That's why we introduced the new extensible (and versioned) format :)
