The Oops appears to be in the same place as the Oops I analyzed in the
second link.  However, your compiler, like mine, decides to code the
comparison against RC_DRIVER_SCANCODE (which is 0) first:

	4f: 83 3a 00   cmpl   $0x0,(%rdx)    <---------- Oopsing insn
