Hi Laurent, I see why. `make install` installed my newly built modules into `/lib/modules/4.9.0-5-amd64`, but I was running version 4.9.0-6 of the kernel. Each kernel version has its own folder with its own modules. I tried to revert the four commits, but they created conflicts. I wasn't able to resolve them easily and, to be honest, I don't have a lot of time to spend on this.
