Recommended DVB-C USB device?

Hi!

I'd like to get a DVB-C USB (2.0) device to replace the current analog framegrabber. It needs to work well on Linux/ARMv5TE; proprietary host-side drivers are no-go. Are there any devices where datasheets are available or you even got help from the manufacturer? Is there any device you would recommend? Or at least best of the bad breed with good chances to improve?

The wiki isn't much of a help when trying to decide what to buy, only what not to buy (USB1, discontinued, silently replaced by incompatible model). At best, it says "already working fine for most" (what about the others? where isn't it working and why?).
