Getting rid of the /proc file from the iop code should be fine. It was purely a debugging feature for getting the chips working. The provided data was useless in any real setting. I need to sit down and clean up that code and make it output more useful data anyway. I haven't heard anything from jmt in ages, so I don't think anyone else will complain.
