I have downloaded a 2.6.20 kernel and tried it on a couple of my m68k

m68k boxes. I've run into a problem that I hope is an easy fix. On my
Performa 636 it boots up just fine, but when I try to login the keyboard
appears to be scrambled. I can login via ssh just fine. I seem to
recall a similar problem at one time with the NuBus PowerMacs, but I
can't seem to recall the magic incantation to correct this problem

Are you trying it using an old install? The 2.6 kernel defaults to
sending standard input keycodes instead of the raw ADB keycodes. If
you still have an old install you will probably have to change the
keymap that gets loaded. The instructions should be out on the net
somewhere, but I don't remember the details.
