The reason is not the compiler per se but how ACPI/PNP device IDs are supposed
to be put together.

Has the "TLP" prefix been registered to your company?

No, TLP is not registered to my company. As the module is names LP-3952, I prefered to name it as LP3952. But as it is only 6 characters, couldn't be used. I tried combinations like LP03952, LP-3952 which were also rejected by the compiler. So was left with option of TILP3952 (TI for Texas Instrument). But yet again TI's linking program was also called 'TiLP'. Hence thought of using 'TLP3952'

I was unaware, the name had to be registered. If "TLP" cant be used, can you please recommend an alternative name (like Open source names if any, which does not require registration)?
