Hi! Sorry for jumping in here, I hope it is ok. I have the exact same computer model and the same error. I have tried latest kernel versions, including 4.8.4. I still can't seem to get the touchpad to work though. Perhaps I have missunderstood and these patches are not yet part of the mainline kernels?
