Nicely presented patch and looks good to me.

Looking forward to additional features as you get them implemented.
Post early and post often!

If we were talking a new part with no existing support, we'd only really
need scale and then I'd be happy to merge it.  However, at the very
least here you need some protection of both drivers trying to bind to
it at the same time.

Dmitry (input maintainer) has always been in favour of moving these
out of input eventually so should be happy to take some Kconfig
magic to allow you to develop in parallel until it's ready as a
complete replacement.
