[PATCH v2] iio: improve usage of gpiod API

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Since 39b2bbe3d715 (gpio: add flags argument to gpiod_get*() functions)
which appeared in v3.17-rc1, the gpiod_get* functions take an additional
parameter that allows to specify direction and initial value for
outputs.

 - add similar fixes for drivers/iio/accel/mma9551.c, drivers/iio/imu/kmx61.c
   and drivers/iio/proximity/sx9500.c

The previous patch got reviewed-by tags by Alexandre and Linus. I didn't add
the tags here because they didn't saw the new changes.

Also note that some of the drivers do:

	data->irqs[i] = gpiod_to_irq(gpio);
	ret = devm_request_threaded_irq(dev, data->irqs[i],
			NULL, mma9551_event_handler,
			IRQF_TRIGGER_RISING | IRQF_ONESHOT,
			MMA9551_IRQ_NAME, indio_dev);

(this is from drivers/iio/accel/mma9551.c, but I think I saw this more than
once.)

IMHO the return value of gpiod_to_irq should be checked before giving it to
request_irq.
