First of all I have to correct my original statement: Suspend-to-Disk makes
same noise in Linux. Only Suspend-to-RAM does not. In order to screen out
possible hardware failure I performed complete SeaTools testing procedures, the
hardware is 100% OK. I checked also with the Accoustic testing feature.
Moreover I installed for testing purposes Windows XP, which was delivered with
this notebook. So I can say now, this noise is defintively *not* normal on
poweroff. Parking the heads and shutdown correctly makes a completely different
sound (silent klick), mostly inaudible.
